Most AI consulting stops at a recommendation. Ours continues into the build. A first engagement covers one process: the workflow, the integrations it needs, the interface your team uses, the approval points and the training at handover. We do not publish fixed durations, because they depend on how many tools the scope touches and how quickly access and answers arrive, so the duration is agreed in writing at the end of scoping.
Scope

What does an AI consulting company do?
An AI consulting company helps a business decide where AI is useful and how to put it to work. At Basement Protocol that means scoping a specific business problem and then building the system: custom AI agents, workflow automation or a dashboard, with people kept in control of decisions.
Is Basement Protocol an AI consulting company or an AI development company?

No. Start with the business problem and how the work happens today. Choosing the models and tools is part of our job.
What does a first engagement include?
One process, scoped in writing: the workflow, the integrations it needs, the interface your team uses, the points where a person approves what goes out, and training at handover. Delivery runs in four stages, scope, build, pilot on that one process, then handover and training, so the first thing you judge is a system running on your real work.
How long does an AI consulting engagement take?
We don’t publish fixed durations. How long a build takes depends on how many tools the scope touches and how quickly access and answers come from your side, so the duration is agreed in writing at the end of scoping rather than guessed before it. Keeping a first engagement to one process is what keeps it reviewable.
Which tools can you connect to?
The usual candidates are the tools a business already runs on: the WhatsApp Business API for policy-compliant business messaging, a Tally or Zoho ledger, Google Sheets, a shared email inbox, Razorpay for payment links and status, and Shopify for online order data. What is possible depends on what each tool allows and the access you can give, so it is confirmed during scoping.
Who owns the system after handover?
You do. Handover includes the accounts, the credentials and the documentation needed to run the system, plus training for the people using it. You should finish an engagement able to operate what was built without us. It is worth asking any implementation partner this before you sign.
How much does AI consulting cost?
It depends on scope. We don’t publish a rate card and we don’t sell fixed packages. Each engagement is quoted per project after the first conversation, and the number moves with how many processes are in scope, how many tools get connected, whether a custom interface is needed and how clean your existing data is. A 30-minute meeting is enough to scope it.
Do you work with companies outside India?
Yes. We’re based in India and work with international clients, including a solar energy company headquartered in London.
What happens to our data?
Our standard mutual NDA commits us not to use client data to train AI models and covers data protection under India’s DPDP Act 2023 and the GDPR. Data access and integrations are agreed before we build.
